BILL PAY SERVICE AGREEMENT AND DISCLOSURE
This agreement between you and Bank of Chickamauga governs the use of the Bill Pay service. This service allows customers to perform a number of banking functions on accounts linked to the service through the use of a personal computer. When you use the Bill Pay service described in this agreement or authorize others to use it, you agree to the terms and conditions of the entire agreement.
Your use of the Bill Pay service may also be affected by the agreements between us for your other accounts. When you sign up for Bill Pay, you do not change the agreements you already have with us for that account. You should review those agreements for any applicable fees, for limitations on the number of transactions you can make and for other restrictions that might impact your use of an account with Bill Pay.
Payments you make through Bill Pay are processed in one of two ways: Electronic Transmission or Check Payment. If a payee fails to negotiate the check within 90 days, we will stop payment on the check and re-credit your account for the amount of the payment at no charge to you. The scheduled process date is the date debited from the account for the payment to begin processing. The payment amount will be debited from the account that you designate on the scheduled process date. If the scheduled process date is a weekend or non-business day, then the process date will be the prior business day.
To assure sufficient time for the payee to receive and process the payment, you should allow at least four (4) business days between the scheduled process date and the payment due date. If you do not, you will be fully responsible for all late fees, finance charges or other action taken by the payee.
You authorize Bank of Chickamauga/Metavante (our Bill Pay service provider) to withdraw, debit or charge the necessary funds from your designated Bank of Chickamauga account on the date in which you schedule the payment to begin processing. You agree that you will instruct us to make a withdrawal only when a sufficient balance is or will be available in your accounts at the time of the withdrawal. If you do not have a sufficient balance we may refuse to complete the transaction. Whether we complete the transaction or not, we reserve the right to impose non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees. The Bank is under no obligation to notify you if it does not complete a payment because there are non-sufficient funds or credit in your account to process the transaction.
It is important that each user of this service handles their account in a responsible manner. If the account has accumulated six or more NSF bill pay returns in a 12-month period, the Bill Pay service will automatically be closed.
The Bill Pay service (Metavante) will charge a fee for NSFs that are collected from the checking account once a month, normally in conjunction with the monthly charge. The charge will be $25.00 for each NSF item .Bank of Chickamauga will also impose its NSF fee as well (See our schedule of fees for current amount)
If you choose to cancel your Bill Pay service, you must notify the bank, by phoning us at 706-375-3112 or by e-mail at customerservice@bankofchickamauga.com within 10 business days.
